Orchestra Playing Test Rubric | Traditional or Standards-Based + Self-Assessment
I wrote this rubric after being frustrated with all the rubrics that were available to me. It seemed that all the rubrics I had were either written by people who did not understand how to play a string instrument, had vague grading standards, or used vocabulary that was difficult for my students to understand. I wanted a rubric that could actually give useful feedback for myself and my students.
This rubric is specifically designed just for string instruments! Use it for your next playing test, midterm, or seating audition! 3 versions included for all your assessment needs.
*For the assessment of solo playing, and NOT large ensemble
