Online Violin Lessons

Online violin lessons with Tracy are pay-per-session, meaning that you do not have to commit to weekly lessons. Simply book and pay as needed!

While I usually advocate for weekly in-person lessons, there are many reasons why someone might want an online lesson with me. Here are some reasons that might apply to you:

  • Your teacher struggles to explain advanced topics in a simple way, such as shifting or vibrato, and you need an experienced teacher who knows how to explain these things successfully in just 1 lesson.
  • Your teacher won't teach you something because you're "not ready" and you wonder if you are just being held back for no reason.
  • You are teaching yourself and just need to ask a couple of questions on something you're stuck on.
  • You need personalized advice, such as struggling to make a good sound when your pinky is too short.
  • You have an audition coming up and need professional, unbiased advice from a 2nd opinion.
  • You are making a major violin purchase and need professional advice from someone who knows exactly the business and science behind what to look for, contrary to the traditional advice of to just "test play a bunch of violins within your price range".
  • You want information that can help you get into a college or university program.
  • You are considering a career in music and want practical advice on how to make money in the music industry from someone who has firsthand experience in the field.

I am able to teach all levels of violin from advanced to beginner. However, I can only teach an absolute beginner in-person, and not online. If you do not know how to tune your violin, please learn this skill with an in-person teacher before booking a lesson with me.

Requirements:

  • You must already have your own violin and know how to tune it.

Price: $50 per session (45 minutes)

Online Viola, Cello, and Bass Lessons

In addition to violin lessons, I am also able to teach beginning and intermediate online lessons on viola, cello, and bass.

(I am not able to teach advanced lessons, but I can teach up to the level of most high school players. If you are wondering if I can help you, send me a message and I will let you know upfront if I cannot.)

Requirements:

  • You must already have your own instrument and know how to tune it.
